Condolences to the family of Charles Officer,
Many have noted his brilliance as a filmmaker, a leader and a genuinely good person. Whenever he spoke he was fair-minded, approachable, and probably so peaceable to be around. His characteristics and outstanding abilities as a director, too, made notable persons want to work with him and for him. I would like to say that some of this came from you, too, those he personally loved and adored.
A wise man said a few thousands years ago "A good name is better than precious ointment.." Find comfort in knowing you helped him to be his best and to make such a good name.

I met Charles at a showing of his fantastic documentary 'Unarmed Verses' at Innis College, University of Toronto. A wonderful artist, humble, personable, with so many stories to tell. His voice will never be quieted in spite of his tragic, and much-to-early passing. Rest in Peace and Power, Charles.

Such a talented writer and filmmaker. He had so much more to share with the world through his work. He will be missed by many. Heartfelt condolences to the Officer family. May God be with you to help you heal as you go through such a difficult time.
