While many were drafted to Viet Nam in 1969 Charles enlisted in the Air Force. We were both 18 when his parents came to my parents and I rode with them to O'Hare Airport to see him off to Okinawa. Charles wrote me letters, sent me knitted flowers and was my friend for all of our days. I miss him making fun of me - it is a love that remains

My condolences to my sister-in-love, DaKeesha, and the Paden Family for the loss of such a wonderful man. Mr. Charles was very pleasant and always a joy to be around. He will truly be missed.

To the love of my life. Through thick and thin we´ve always had each other´s backs no matter what. You were so big in life whether it was your dedication to your work, your family or your passions and we were so proud and fortunate to have been a part of your journey. Your love and support has made a difference in so many lives. I was lucky to have been a big part of your journey as your wife. Just know that you are always going to be loved and so dearly missed. You have left your imprint on so many and your legacy will carry on through your entire family especially your children. Until I see you again my love, fly high.
