Charles David Pierce, 88 of Arundel, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 16, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born September 1, 1936 to Lewis and Claire Pierce. He was the oldest of 4 children, followed by Richard Pierce, Terry Pierce and Donna (Pierce) Lewia. He married the love of his life Myrna Evelyn Green on August 30, 1958. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Charles and Myrna raised 3 children, Larry Pierce, Sherry Allen and Debbie Sawyer. He loved his 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was never happier than when they were around. He often had a funny story to tell and was always ready with a "dad joke". Even when he shared the same joke over again, he did it with such enthusiasm that we'd laugh as if it were told for the first time. He would often offer a word of advice or remind his kids when their inspection stickers were due and not to forget an important date. Something that always amazed us that he knew.

Charles earned his Associates Degree in Business Administration at Springfield College in MA.

Charles was an accomplished baritone who was often requested to sing for special events. He loved the old hymns like Rock of Ages and wedding classics such as I Love You Truly and Because. He developed a love of public speaking during his high school years and was often requested to speak at events.

Charles is survived by his loving wife Myrna and their children Larry, Sherry and Debbie (John), his grandchildren Crystal, Candi, Nick, Jen & Jess. And, his great grandchildren, Hailey, Sophie, Brielle, Landon, Leah, Kayla, Kai, Jack, Gracie, Kyla & Tommy.

The family wishes to thank all those at Gosnell Hospice House for their exceptional care for Charles in his final days.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
