To my family I send condolences to you all for the loss of my dear Uncle Henry. As I reflect, there is not a moment in my life that Uncle Henry was not there. He was always vibrant, loving, caring and always got my name correct and didn't call me my sister's name like others may have done because we were book ends! When my parent's home burned to ground and I arrived to see the damage, Uncle Henry was already there with other family members since daylight, toolbag on hip, hammer in hand and electric saw blowing dust! An awesome craftsman and man of integrity and when he spoke he was to be respected. You were an inspiration to my father also. He never spoke to me without a smile on his face.

As a child, I found Uncle Henry and Aunt Canaria to be as special to me as my grandparents and when visiting my grandparents Pearl and George I would wander next door for a visit. I have very fond memories, especially during Christmas time, of following daddy (Dennis) over to their house and come in through the back door and get samples of holiday baked goods in their kitchen and dining room. Sometimes I would ease back out the door and come in again for seconds!

Dear Uncle Henry, thank you for being a part of my life and leaving me with fond memories. May you lay that hammer down and find rest. May the family find comfort in what I have shared today. I love you all.

Your great niece, Shelly Williams-Silver
(oldest daughter of Dennis Williams)
