Charles Randol Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 31, 2024.
Charles James Randol, known affectionately as Charlie, passed away on May 14, 2024, at the age of 34. Born on September 22, 1989, in Pasadena, CA. He spent his early childhood in San Marino, then Newport Beach. Charlie graduated from Saddleback Valley Christian High School and attended Metropolitan State University in Denver. He become a successful entrepreneur and a pioneer of crypto ATMs.

Charlie had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile along with a great big heart, whose capacity to love was greater. He moved to Marina del Rey a few years ago to be near the water, which he loved since childhood. He started swimming competitively at the age of four, learned to sail at 5, and was the youngest sailor to sail around Balboa island in record time before he was 6, wining a 1st place trophy from Balboa Island Yacht Club. He was also a Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard

As an adult, jet skiing was his favorite thing to do. He enjoyed being out on the water. It brought him tranquility, but at the same time he found it invigorating and exciting to learn new freestyle tricks on his SeaDoo.

Charlie loved people, playing basketball, corn hole, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a passionate and competitive ping pong player as well. Charlie also liked building new computers and building mining machines, it really intrigued him.

Charlie had a great interest in exotic tropical fish. He had three aquariums that held African cichlids. He also liked orchids and prided himself in reviving them.

Charlie had the special gift of making every person he'd meet instantly comfortable. He'd also stop to greet just about every dog he came in contact with. He really loved dogs, especially his English Bull Dog, Benji, and had planned on starting a dog boarding business

He always stayed positive, even through tough times. He had a strong faith in God and continued to smile. He was the "solid rock" for all his family members. Charlie was a good friend to others, and the one who offered to help carry groceries, hold open elevator doors, and give money to those less fortunate.

Charlie will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Lee Randol, III and his father, Howard Lee Randol, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Kelley and sisters Melody & Meredith Randol.
