OMG this is just so heart breaking. Pastor Chuck was the Pastor that baptized me in IL, that is when I truly became a Christian and wanted to learn more about the lord. We ran in to a dear former church member from Forest City Baptist Church and was surprised to hear that Pastor Chuck went to Heaven. My mom and I shared how we loved this church, how the people truly cared for one another. Very friendly. Will always be close to our hearts.

Pastor Chuck always made everyone feel loved and cared for. Smile, hug, and an encouraging word every Sunday morning. He and Nancy visited our home, the same evening we brought our new daughter home from China. What a very special memory.

Nancy, you are in our thoughts and prayers. My dad, Cliff went to Heaven in July 2015. I smile, knowing they have seen each other. What an amazing God we have! Love to you and your dear family.

Hearing about your loss had deeply saddened us. A person who departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds; through us they live on. Please accept our condolences; Chuck will not be forgotten.

Dear Nancy and family,
I was saddened to hear this AM that Chuck slipped into the presence of Jesus - very sad on this side, great joy there with Jesus. He was one of my closest partners in prayer and transformation in Rockford. When he retired and moved, it left a large empty space in the renewal movement. I trust that God will give you strength through the grieving days and years ahead.

Chuck was our former pastor and special friend. He was always willing to go the extra mile for a person. He cared about a persons physical needs as well as spiritual. We enjoyed many special times with him and Nancy even though we lived far apart for many years. He is missed but know he is rejoicing in heaven with his creator and Lord. Dear Nancy, Jennifer, Mark and Ben,

When I think about Chuck and his ministry to our family I always think of 1 Thessalonians 2:8, "So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God, but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us."
Chuck shared not only the gospel with us but his very own self and heart, for which we are forever grateful and strive to continue on in our ministry as well.

At the memorial service for Bernice Ivaska it was shared that Chuck had gone on to glory! I was shocked and saddened, but only for a while. Immediately my mind went back to the wonderful times of fellowship with the Reagans who lived in the "blue house" at that time. Chuck was an inspiration to me. We speak of Chuck often with the young couple that bought their Rockford home, telling stories of the best neighbors ever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

When we started attending the church in Chippewa Falls, Chuck literally welcomed our family with open arms. He had the ability to brighten the day with his very presence or a telephone call. His "How are you my friend" made you know he really cared.

Pastor Chuck was a true man of God and dear friend. He took so much time for my family and me at FCBC. He truly cared for all in the congregation. My heart is heavy with my personal loss of not having him here with us but I know he's where his destiny has led him. He has left a legacy of helping so many people as they dealt with their life issues. I remember him meeting his counseling sessions with a big smile, a handshake and always a hug. The person who was meeting him always had their head down and seemed burdened. When the session was over and the door opened, he seemed to hold his head down while the other person was smiling and seemed at peace. He literally took on the burdens of others. It was pleasure to be his secretary at Burlingame Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon for 3 years.
