Charles Henry Ries

Charles was my cousin by marriage. He was always the kindest, most accommodating person. Going to the Ries house on Easter was always a highlight of the year.

Sorry that we cannot make it in town for the service. I have a business trip that I have to leave for tomorrow (Sunday). So many fond memories of Uncle Charlie, Aunt Marilyn the whole family. He will have no problem finding a bridge partner now.

So sorry for your loss. Sending love to the family.

My Godfather was a lifelong inspiration, especially when it came to being positive, friendly and giving to others. Most recently, his abiding sense of athleticism and volunteerism motivated me to raise donations for the Jimmy V Foundation and participate in a Coast to Coast bike ride for cancer care. Charlie was the reason I kept riding the MS 150! At every rest stop he would tell people how important our work was! He would yell "HIP HIP HOORAY" and we would call back the same. Good memories Charlie- HIP HIP HOORAY for you! Anne Thomasson
