Charles E. "Charlie" Rose, 77, passed away on October 26, 2024, in Newport, North Carolina. Born on May 30, 1947, in Media, Pennsylvania. Charlie was a cherished son to the late Edward Earl Rose and Jane Worrell Rose. He was a proud veteran who served as a medic in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.

After graduating from Henderson High School in West Chester, PA, in 1965 and serving in the Army, Charlie moved to North Carolina in 1971 with his beloved wife, Holly Hopkins Rose. He established a successful career as a building contractor and was revered as a master carpenter by many. His work as a builder of homes is a testament to his skill and dedication to craftsmanship.

Charlie's life was marked by his passions and hobbies. An avid fisherman and a skilled wood carver, he also enjoyed restoring old cars and was an enthusiastic cook, particularly known for his seafood dishes, which he loved sharing with friends and family. His curiosity and eagerness to learn about a wide array of subjects kept him engaged with life and those around him.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Holly, and his son, Justin Rose, both of Newport, N.C. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Charlie Earl "CB" Rose.

In keeping with his wishes, no memorial services are planned. Arrangements are under the care of Noe-Brooks Funeral Home / Just Cremations in Morehead City, NC. Charlie's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and the homes he built and lives he touched.
