Charles Dana Rough Charles D. Rough stepped peacefully into heaven on August 24, 2007 at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia with his family at his bedside. Chuck was born in Kalamazoo, MI, but moved to Washington State at age 2. He spent most of his life in the Puyallup/Milton area. He graduated from Puyallup High School. He met and married his beautiful wife, Shirley Scott of Tacoma in 1942. After serving our country in the US Army during WWII, Chuck spent 30 years employed at Boeing as a jig builder. He is fondly remembered for his love of animals, his kind spirit, his traditional family values, and his love and commitment to his wife of 65 years. He is survived by his soul mate and wife Shirley Rough, who currently resides in Olympia, his 2 sons, Dan Rough of Seward, AK, and Richard Rough of Tonasket, 3 daughters-in-law, Judy Rough of Seward, AK, Kathy Rough of Seward, and Bonnie Pleasants of Tonasket, 6 grandchildren, Scott Rough of Seattle, Heather and Samantha Rough of Seward, Ben Rough of Omak, Jerry Davis of Snoqualmie, and Heidi Sanchez of Olympia, and 3 great-grandchildren: Hayden, Zach and Kiara. A memorial service will be held on Sept. 18, 2007 at 2pm in the Chapel at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center at 3333 Ensign Rd., Olympia, 98506. Any flowers or donations may be sent to Shirley Fay Rough at 5133 Chambers Creek Lp. SE, Olympia WA 98501. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful nursing staff at PMJCC and Garden Courte, who loved and cared for Chuck during his last few months of life.
