I met Chas in 1984 when he hired me to write an ABC Afterschool Special. We became immediate and close friends, and his influence on both my career and personal life has been enormous. We lost contact when he turned his attention to online marketing, but I've thought of him often throughout the years. Today, I learned he'd passed away 2 1/2 years ago. Hindsight being 20/20, I can honestly say that Chas is one of the five people i'd like to meet in heaven. Very intelligent, very funny, very tenacious, very loyal. I learned more from this man than I could ever describe. Sweet dreams, Chas. Until we meet again....

Over many years and circumstances, Chas and I shared innumerable creative hours together, spinning and then pitching projects. It was always fun working with him. I admired his hustle and his chutzpah, both of which knew no bounds. He was a true entrepreneur who kept us both sane by employing his wit and sense of humor.

Please accept my belated condolences. My most fondest memory of Chas was having him babysit for me at my parents home when I was very young. He was very creative, energetic and very comforting.

My sincerest condolences to Laurie and her daughter. I worked with Chase in 2009 and 2010 and found him to be a lovely man, extremely well versed professional in the burgeoning field of Social Media Marketing. Chas was always good natured, had a smile on his face and we shared a wonderful camaraderie. RIP Chas. You were a true pioneer.
