I was introduced to Skeets by my sister Anne Rearick and am forever grateful for having him in my life. Though I knew he was a legend in the boxing circles I got to know him outside of that world and he became like a grandfather to me and great grandfather to my son Isaiah. Even when he was at his worst the first thing he'd ask me when I saw him was "how are ya?" I learned so much from him about love of life, living in the moment and focusing on others rather than yourself. I have so many wonderful memories of our visits, teaching me spanish, telling me stories, sitting in the sun together watching my son on his scooter in back of Lifecare, visits to the cemetary and Roberto's together. My Tuesdays will never be the same. I'm watching for you Skeets and know you are still around us and always in our hearts. Send me a sign once in awhile to remind me okay? I miss you.

My most heartfelt sympathy to the Scioli family on the loss of Skeets. If every boxer that Skeets helped in his lifetime was a rung on his ladder to heaven, then Skeets had an express elevator up our Creator. Skeets, I'm so grateful to have been able to call you friend. Go bless you.

My deepest condolences to the Scioli family, I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing of this legend. Skeets was truly one of a kind, only a few short years ago he was involved with boxing at Foxwoods Resort and I had the pleasure to get to know this special individual. Skeets should have written a book, the boxing stories dating back to the 1930’s were something to hear. For those who did not know him well, he was a true gentleman. God bless

To Paul and the entire Scioli Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My family and I send our most sincere condolences. I attended the Healey, Northeastern Junior High and graduated with Paul. I also knew his brothers Michael and Chuck and his mom Jean was my lunch mother at the Healey School. I remember Paul always speaking highly of his grandfather.
My thoughts are with you all,

I will never forget all that Skeets has taught me about friendship, about life, about aging, about "keeping your right hand up and your chin down." Skeets's spirit and love of life was an inspiration to me and to those I know. I feel so fortunate to have known him. He was ageless and had a giant heart. We have lost one of the greats.

Simply an “Incredible Human Being”
His many contributions to all are truly legendary. He has touched so many lives it would be impossible for anyone to list all of his accomplishments and contributions. I am deeply saddened by the lost of such a very dear friend. “I want to express my deepest sympathies to the entire Scioli Family.” My memories of Skeet’s go back over 35 years and I especially enjoyed all the many private lunches we had over the years and the great stories he would tell me. He may have been one of the greatest story tellers of all time!! I will be forever grateful for having the great privilege to know such an “Incredible Human Being “

Dad
I could write a book and fill it with the sentiments on how your passing has impacted me.
As a young boy, I was fortunate enough to have worked along side you and witnessed first hand the kind of incredible man you were.
Having raised all of your children to enjoy the successful lives they lead today is testimony to the kind of father you have been.
My one big hope in life is that I have the respect of my family and friends when my time comes and that I can accomplish just half of what you have accomplished in your lifetime. You have certainly left your mark.
We are all so very sorrowful that you have had to leave us and on the other hand thankful that we have had you with us for so long. You will always live on in our hearts and through your sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rest in peace now, you have earned your place there.

Dear Scioli Family:
We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Skeets. He was a Fremont Street institution. We will always remember him walking up and down the street talking to our parents on the front steps. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. He now joins the rest of the fremont street gang in a better place. Our prayers are with you.

" A GENTLEMAN'S GENTLEMAN"
i have very many fond memories of "skeets" especially after the passing of
his beloved wife lucy. He would sit in my shop for hours and reminisce. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and their many accomplishments.
The many "DINNERS WITH SKEETS" were so eventful; there was never a lapse in conversation especially after 2 glasses of wine.
TO KNOW HIM WAS TO LOVE HIM
he will surely be missed
