Charles Gregory "Greg" Sims

Funeral for Charles Gregory “Greg” Sims, 47, of Decatur will be today at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Martin and the Rev. Keith Elder officiating.
Burial will be in the Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Sims died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at his residence. He was born Aug. 22, 1956, in Decatur to Charles Sims and Joyce Maner Moore. He was employed by Delphi for the past 28 years. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Sims was an avid fisherman, hunter and horseback rider. He also was a Dale Earnhardt racing fan and followed NASCAR will all his heart.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Herschel Moore of Decatur; his father and stepmother, Charles and Pat Sims of Trinity; one daughter, Kristi Sims of Decatur; one brother, Brent and Debra Sims and nephew Walker Sims of Danville; three stepbrothers, Doug and Cherry Sims of Lacey’s Spring, and Allan Moore and John Moore, both of Decatur; two stepsisters, Jennifer and Derrick Cole of Decatur, and Sherry and Chris Cromer of Rome, Ga.; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Brent Sims, Tim Haley, Scotty Sims, Rusty Roberson, Rick Haley, Ronny Halbrooks, Allan Moore and Josh Such.
