Having been gone from Pittsburgh for 7 years, and returning next week for a few days, the one thing I wanted to show my wife was Kleiner Deutschman. That's how important it was to me. It was with great sorrow that I learned of Chuck's passing. Chuck is truly missed.

Uncle Dick, Monica and I are so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. We are so glad we got to see Chuck back in the summer at Grams. I really enjoy his stories and his sharing of his recipes. - Scott

Uncle Chuck, you and Dick are definitely two of the best people in my life. Today was so weird without you at the restaurant and the reality hit me...I can never hug you or hear your laugh again. Dick, you are and have always been family. When you need us, we are here. I know I speak for the entire family. I love you and am so grateful that he had you in his life. Thank you! I'll love you always!

My condolences to Dick, and the Spix family. Mr. Spix was such a nice guy. May you find comfort in his memory.
