Charles Ernest Tullock Maryville - Charles Ernest Tullock, age 56, of Maryville. Heaven needed a good mechanic and someone to help micromanage things. On Tuesday morning, May 30th surrounded by his family at UT Hospital he gained his wings and his golden toolbox. Devoted Husband, Poppy, Son, Brother, Uncle, co-worker, friend and future grandpoppy. Some knew him as Charles, Charlie or Chuck. He is loved by so many. We are all heartbroken and miss him very much. He is a lover of many things from cars (not EV's), animals of all even a rat he named Cortez at the junkyard, music, ticking people off, micromanaging, taking the scenic route, working on cars, and his luscious locks of hair. Traveling to get stamped at all the pull-a-parts with his father-in-law. He worked on more people's cars than I could even name. If you needed help with something, he was always there to lend a hand. His heart was big even if he acted like a hard butt, he was really a teddy bear underneath all that. He was all about trying to make a bad situation humorous. Just ask any one he came in contact with at UT. He worked for Red Lobster starting at age of 16, at age of 18 he joined the Air Force where he served at Macdill Air Force Base for 6 years. He then returned to Red Lobster as part of Management. Made the move back to Tennessee rejoined the Air Force at McGhee Tyson 134th Air Refueling wing. Where he retired as a Master Sergeant and went back to work the next week as a civilian never even clearing his desk. He loved to encourage and influence young ones into the military. His new advice would be join Space Force and don't buy an EV. Survived by his Parents, Alfred and Brenda Tullock; Wife, Veronica Mychelle Tullock; Children, Chrystian (Alec) Davis as well as his first grandchild that is in the oven, Shane (Emma) Isbill; Brother, Micheal (Sabrina) Tullock and their children, Austin(Allie) Tullock, Deana (Jo) Owens; Aunts and Uncles, Tommy & Sharon Blackwell, Steve Bales, Becki Boles and many more nieces, nephews and cousins; His pup girls, Precious and Malia; Special friends from Sonny's Junkyard Gang in Blaine Tennessee and his military family at McGhee Tyson Air Force Base. Most shelters have a list of items they are in need of on their website, or links to donate monetarily if you should choose to do so. If you are looking to add a furry friend to your family, he would love it very much if you could adopt one in his honor. He would say "bonus points" if you name them something funny like Tedward.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 05, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Smith Trinity Chapel. A Celebration of Charles' life will follow at 7:00 PM with David Tullock officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Smith Funeral Home by 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 07, 2023 to process to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for the Interment service with full honors at 2:00 PM.
