Charles Urbanowitz

So many memory's, thoughts, and words flood my mind in the realization that my dear friend Charlie has passed away. I transferred out of the Rockford area in the mid-80's; then moving to so many locations, I lost contact with pretty much all of my old acquaintances and friends. Many times in the past I tried to locate Charlie though the internet, regrettably with no success. I am visiting family in Rockford now, and just last night my mother was asking about a friend I used to spend most of my high school days with, the one that lived by Roosevelt. I immediately responded with “Yeah… Charlie Urbanowitz! Truly one of my most favorite and loyal friends of all time. He had a heart that was bigger than he himself, and literally was the type of person that would help out a friend in any circumstance”!

I just googled Charlie's name and found out this terribly distressing news… I couldn't be more saddened by it! With heartfelt sorrow I wish to extend my condolences to the Urbanowitz family. Along with you, I have, and will always, miss him… forever regard him in highest esteem!

I am so sorry to hear about Charlie. I have fond memories of him when I was living in Rockford. My condolences to his family.

Our deepest, heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Urbanowitz family. Loss of a loved one is always hard, but when it is sudden and unexpected it's an even harder blow. Charlie was a lovable and kind man. Love and peace to you all.

Sad to hear this. Charlie was one of my oldest and dearest friends. He was my best man 40 years ago. It was great growing up with him.
