Charles (Chuck) Felton Usry, Sr entered into rest Saturday January 23, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family at his granddaughter's (Chandler and Sam Mottel) house. Memorial services were private
Mr. Usry was born in Gibson, Ga and spent most of his life in Augusta and N. Augusta, SC
He attended Richmond Academy, enlisted in the Marine Corps, attended Augusta College and received his degree in Heating and Air conditioning at Augusta Tech. After retiring from a managerial position at University Hospital he opened his own business in Heating and Air and taught Heating and Air Conditioning at Aiken Technical College. He worked for the Aiken County Magistrate's office as a constable before completely retiring.
His passion was playing golf even playing at the Augusta National one time. He was also a member of the Augusta Water Ski Club where he and Leilani performed in ski shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kate & Lloyd Usry and his sister Barbara Williams.
Survivors include his son Chuck (Charlene) Usry, jr, North Augusta, SC two daughters Lisa U. Redd, Batesburg, SC and Gina U Padgett, North Augusta, SC and sister Jawana (Felix) Garrett, Matthews, Ga; seven grandchildren Alicia (Ben) Fuller, Kyle (Amanda) Padgett, Shaye Regina, Connor Usry, Trevor (Hope) Usry, Joshua Usry and Chandler (Sam) Mottel, three great granddaughters Genesis Williamson, Lily and Maggie Fuller and brother-in-law, Lester Williams and former wife and close friend, Leilani A. Usry.
He spent his last six months in the loving care of his daughter, Lisa at Leilani's residence.
