In Loving Memory of Charles “Chuck” Herman Walker
Charles “Chuck” Herman Walker was born on March 31, 1953 in Pioneer, Louisiana to the late Estella Walker. Chuck’s family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962 at the age of 9. Chuck attended Matt Kelly Elementary School and finished his education with his diploma from Western High School.
As an adult Chuck entered the work force at the Thunderbird Hotel were, he worked as a Chef. After working several years as a Chef Chuck changed career’s and became an iron worker at Artistic Iron. Chuck had found his real passion and soared in his new craft until his health took a turn for the worst and forced him into retirement.
During retirement Chuck found a new love for movies but it was one movie in particular he loved most which, was the “Pink Panther.” While movies kept him busy, he didn’t waiver from his real talent which was dance and yes, he was good at it. Family and friends loved him and his big heart but it was his wittiness and fun nature in making others laugh that stood out the most.
Prior to Chuck transitioning to be with the lord he was preceded in death by his four brothers Clarence Marshall, Rudolph, Elbert and John “Red” Redmond.
Chuck leaves to cherish his memory one sister Annette Lathan of Las Vegas, NV and two brothers Elliott Walker of Las Vegas, NV and Michael “Big Mike” Walker of Everett, Washington. Chuck further leaves one special niece Phyllis Whales who prior to his passing and years before ensured he was well cared for in more ways than one; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
