Charlie...we just learned of your passing while visiting your father in Boston, so young and as I understand so talented, your father was very emotional when he told us of the sad news. He misses you for sure. Rest in peace

Chuck,
I am deeply sorry to learn of your death. I had been trying to contact you for quite some time. You were a great friend, and mentor during my time at St. Paul's and I have many fond memories of the times we spent together there. You were a positive influence on me during a trying time in my life. Thank you for your friendship.
Your Buddy,
Tom

Charlie,
My little brother... I met you on our first day at UC. You were 17 and I (being a non-traditional student) was 24. We were an odd pair given our diffenrent backgrounds and age but our love of music and playing music was the object of initial admiration. You were alway smarter than me and carried a vocabulary that was way above mine. I often reflect on the countless hours we spent together recording music, going to concerts, and enjoying life. You were kind enough to share your room with me (not only your house) but your actual room with me when things with my girlfriend didn't work out. Brother you have left a hole in my heart. The news has come to me as a shock. I was trying to look you up as I made a promise to you that you would design my first house that I built. I am getting ready to start that process and I am very sad that I waited to long.

Much, Much Love Brother - Rest in Peace
My Condolences to your father.....

Your star shone too bright, and so,
Crashed to Earth too soon.
May you reappear and live in all of us,
And be, forever!

Good night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I never knew anyone with such an appetite for life as Charlie. Funny, smart, outgoing, opinionated, friendly and loyal are just a few of the many, many positive traits that he possessed and effortlessly expressed during the short time I knew him. He was instrumental in so much of my own learning and growth, and I only wish I had gotten to see him one more time. I hope those who knew him will come away from this with renewed vigor not to take life or those we love for granted - neither may be around for as long as we would like. I am truly sorry for everyone's loss here, mine included. The world was a better place with Charlie in it. It just got a little less fun around here.

Such a smart, funny, energetic kid. Charlie always had an idea. Sometimes, three or four at a time. Sometimes, they were brillant and hilarious. Sometimes, they were contradictory or incomplete. But, always, always, he infused the world with energy, humor and a smile.

Too soon. Way too soon.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. He was a smiling light.

Friend.

Charlie:

I was lucky enough to also watch you grow up. You introduced me to the persons who were sitting under the seats in the plane when we all travelled to Academy meetings. If course, the people were under the First Class seats when you were crawling around there. My deepest sympathy tp Bruce and your family.

Oh Charlie Ross, I too was one of the lucky ones who was able to watch you grow up. You introduced me to the wonderful things that Pittsburgh had to offer. The zoo, museums, inclines, Chucky Cheese, Toys R US. You chose Legos on one of our excursions and from there you became an architect. You were a curious adventures kid and maintained that quality into adulthood. You made the lives you touched better.
