Grandpa Chuck, you have become just that to me... a grandpa. From the first time we met, you welcomed me into your home and family as if I were your own. I miss you and I thank you for your laughter over the years.

Grandpa, so much of who we all are comes from you and Grandma; the hard work you both did, the love you shared, the commitment to family and friends, and the total acceptance and unconditional love the two of you always gave with a cookie and a motorcycle (or airplane) ride. You should have seen it Grandpa, you would have loved all of the motorcycles lined up at the church; it was really something. You have touched so many peoples lives in so many ways. Between you and me, I think you always got lost when you came to visit on purpose just so we and then I could have the fun of coming to get you. There will always be a special place for you in my heart. I'm glad the pain is over now, but it was just so hard to say goodbye. You've been such a big part of my life, even living so far away. I love you Grandpa, and I miss you terribly. Until we meet again, I love you.

To the Willert Family,
We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Charles. He was a great guy and a good father. I remember many stories listening to him and my dad talk when we were kids. they both were very passionate about all things mechanical, especially motorcycles. I always thought it was great that Charles was able to ride all those years, well into his eighties. Again were are very sorry. Best wishes to your family.

My sincere sympathy to you and your family, Jane. I never did get to know Chuck very much but I do remember meeting him one time. It was good to see you at Marvin's funeral, Jane. Do come to visit, if you get back to ND. May God richly bless you and all your family, Jane.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of Charles.
My father (Tony Majkrzak) and Charles were best friends throughout their lives. They were both members of the very first (unofficial) motorcycle riding club of Thompson, North Dakota back in the years when riding a Harley Davidson was just for the simple joy and freedom of the open road.
Many memories of my childhood include growing up on the farm in North Dakota and visiting the Willert's. Whether the Willert's came to visit the Majkrzak's or vice versa, a good time was always had by all and was something my entire family looked forward to.
Some of my father's best stories included adventures with Charles, especially the trips made to the Sturgis, South Dakota motorcycle rally.
I also recall my mother telling the story about the day I was born and how my father had not been able to get back home due to an equipment failure during wheat harvest. When he finally got back home, my mother was going into labor, so they jumped in the car and headed for the hospital in Grand Forks about 45 minutes away. They thought they would not make it in time, so they stopped and picked up Jane Willert on the way, just in case my mother gave birth to me during the ride to the hospital. Jane's experience as a registered nurse could of came in very handy, however, they arrived just in time as I was born within 5 minutes after they reached the emergency room.
Charles was a wonderful man, and raised a lot of great children. His children can all be proud of his accomplishments. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Sincerely:
Julie Anne Shirek

You have our deepest sympathy with the loss of Uncle Chuck, you are in our thoughts and prayers everyday. Remember all of the good times you had with him. I will always cherish the truck that he made and brought to ND on his motorcycle and gave to Chris. I never let Chris play with it, it was always on the shelf as a "pretty". That's what we called "nice things" that the boys could only look at and not touch. I'm so glad he was able to take in a race the last time he was here. I don't remember how they did, but it was still nice that Uncle Chuck was able to watch one. Love to you all, I will miss him as much as you. Love, Julie Anne & Family
