Gail Barrett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 23 to Sep. 24, 2008.
February 18, 1935 - September 19, 2008
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Win married Ronald C. Barrett in 1956 and spent her married life in Torrance. During her life here, Win raised two daughters, Kimberly and Perri. "A nicer lady you could not meet. She was loyal, caring and giving to those around her, both friends and various causes and charities. Win will be missed by all of those who knew her." She had a deep passion for her family and friends, a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Win is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ron; daughter, Kymm and her husband, Jim Grimes, and children, Eric and Kathryn; and daughter, Perri and her husband, Kris Harman, and children, Kyle and Alison Schoenberger. Funeral and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MDA will be appreciated. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

Nobody...ever...will make me laugh like Win did.
Just looking at those eyes and that smile made me know what was coming..and it came, and I laughed myself silly. Will miss her, always.

I will forever remember Win for her ready laugh, wonderful humor and winning smile.

My heart goes out to Ron, Perri and Kim for their loss. Thank God for the memories that we all cherish of Win.

Win was as many people know, "my other mother." She was a part of my life even before I came into this world. From that point on she became a big influence and part of my life. Between A-Z, such as babysitting me, counseling me,and taking on the huge task of making my "ruffly" wedding gown she was always there for me to lend a hand or an ear just like a mom would. I will miss her more than words can say!! I loved her with all of my heart!!
Ron, my love and prayers are with you, Perri and Kymm. I told Perri that the Barretts and the Skromedas are just an extended family. We will always be here for you. I love You

ron and family I was shocked and saddened to read about Wins passing. what a wonderful woman and friend.Win and I bowled together for close to 20 years. She also knit me the most beautiful sweater which i still have and will cherish always.Ron she talked of you and her family always and was so proud you all. She was far to young in both age and spirit to have beern taken so soon. I've been thinking about her alot lately and manytimes thought of picking up the phone.I guess thats gods way of telling you not to put off the important things in life. She was there for me when i lost my dad in 1991 at age 68. It helped alot. my sympathy to you all and i hope the wonderful memories of her will help you through this difficult time. I thank god that i had the priviledge of knowing her all these years, and have been one of many to call her my friend. I will miss everything about her, her beautiful smile, laughter, friendship and kindness. Much love to you Ron and your whole Family and my Deepest sympathy always. Love to you all Joy Waugh
