Charlotte Istre Obituary
Charlotte was a native of Sulphur. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and all arts and crafts. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be missed greatly.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Gerald Istre of Sulphur; son, Chase Bonin and wife, Lacie of Sulphur; son, Terry Bonin of Sulphur; a brother, Ricky Fruge and wife, Vickie of Sulphur; a sister, Marilyn Knauf of Sulphur; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Fruge.
A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mitchell Istre will officiate. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com

Charlotte was one of my longest and dearest friends. We knew each other since meeting in junior high and living in the same neighborhood in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Even when time passed us by we always could pick up where we left off with laughter & memories. A true angel has gone home, I miss you & love you like a sister.

I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to come see you in your last days. I will forever cherish our long talks on your old porch and will always miss your company. Please watch over Terry, he really needs it. You will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Charlotte's passing!! I worked with her Dad, Mr. Harry and her brother, Rickey over the years and also worked with Charlotte for a time when she worked for the funeral home. She was such a pleasure to be around and I always enjoyed her. Thoughts and prayers for all.

Charlotte was one of the kindest and most friendly person I have ever met. I met her at Lowe's and she helped me so much. Her smile, customer service attitude and just a kind hearted lady.
