Chasea Leveille Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 18 to Jan. 19, 2006.
Chasea Lyn Leveille, 18, of Munger, Minn., died Jan. 16, 2006 at St. Marys Medical Center. She was born in Duluth on March 9, 1987 to Joe and Sherry Grussendorf Leville. Chasea was loved and cared for by her mom, who is a nurse, her dad, two sisters and her brother who helped her through each illness she overcame. She resided at home with them in a hospital care setting, assisted by many Health Care Entities, including Proctor and Esko School Districts, St. Marys Medical Center, PICU, Duluth Clinic, Polinsky Rehab., Gillette Childrens Hospitals, Minneapolis, Childrens Hospitals, St. Louis County Social Services, Caregivers Network, New Dimensions Home Health Care and St. Marys Home Care. Special thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation who made Chasea's dreams come true. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James D. Grussendorf; paternal grandfather, Ernest A. Leveille; maternal great grandparents, D.T. and Hulda Grussendorf, and Clifford Davis. Chasea is survived by her parents; maternal grandmother, Bette Grussendorf, Hermantown; paternal grandmother, Delores Leveille, Proctor; maternal great grandmother, Laura Davis of Hermantown; brother, Joey; and sisters, Lindsay and Adriana 'Ana', all at home; and many aunts, uncles and cousins by whom she was loved dearly. Oh, our little Chasea, our little fighter, our queen. You have been the center of our lives. We revolved around you like a merry-go-round and rode with you each step of the way. Our lives will never be the same without you. In our minds we see your smile. In your eyes we see your voice. In our hearts we feel you laugh. How life will be without you, we cannot begin to comprehend. There is not one soul you met that you did not touch. You fought the fight, you have won the race. Now smile with Jesus, our little Chasers. Run in the fields, sing out loud, twirl and dance, taste the snowflakes and feel the grass. Play music with your Grandpa in your mansion above, and in the blink of an eye, we will be with you sweet Chasea. VISITATION:5:30 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. funeral service Thursday in the Esko Apostolic Lutheran Church, 25 Church Road, Esko. Burial at the Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home.

We were very sorry to hear of Chasea's passing, little did we know we would be losing Aaron a week later. It was so nice to see Chasea at school these last couple of years, she had grown into such a pretty young lady. I don't know if you remember, but I worked in NICU when she was born and I am sure I cared for her as an infant. It is such a tremendous adjustment for us losing our beautiful children. My prayers and thoughts are with you as we grieve together. I am comforted that they no longer are confined to bodies that would not do what they wanted them to.

With love, Cindy Kellett

My thoughts are with you all at this time. Chasea was a special girl and I will always remember her shoulder shaking laughter. When she was happy she smiled all day. Find comfort that Chasea's struggles are over and she is at peace. She touched many hearts while she was here!

I am Chasea's sister, Ana. I really miss Chasea. She was a great sister and it may seem weird I am writing in our own guest book, but I am just saying how much I love Chasea and am glad she was a part of our family. I will miss her shining face. But now she is shining in Heaven.

Love,

Ana

My heart goes out to you all. While I don't know you and I missed the wonderful opprotunity to know your little angel, I do understand the courage, love, faith and strength it takes to care for such a wonderful person, I believe your life is much richer with all you have done for your little girl. My prayers go out to you and your family. You all have been blessed by God, may He keep you and your daughter safe in the palms of his hands.

To Chasea's Family,

You don't know me, but I teach first grade at the Esko School. I was so sorry to see that Chasea will no longer be here with us. We often saw Chasea in the hall as she moved from place to place and yesterday when my first graders saw the memorial display in the hall they asked about her. God Bless you and give you courage in the days to come.

Sincerely,

Dearest Joe, Sherry and family,

We were so shocked and saddened to read about Chasea's passing. It has been so long since we last visited with you and saw her. We are so sorry we missed the funeral. We didn't know about it. We would have come had we have known. Please take care and be comforted knowing that all of the promises you believe are now coming to fruition for little Chasea. You were great parents whom God entrusted with such a special, special daughter. He picks and chooses wisely. G-d bless you especially, Sherry, for all those sleepless nights of care you gave so unselfishly to your daughter. Blessings of comfort to you and your whole family. Shalom b'ahava from Kerry and Linda

Sherri and Joe,

Even though we have not been in touch for years, I was saddened by the loss of your daughter. My son goes to Lakeview Christian Academy, and he made it a point to pray for your family during their daily prayer time. We pray that you are making it through this difficult time.

I worked with Chasea many years ago at Bayview along with Mona. I'll never forget how Chasea ALWAYS had a smile on her face! She brought us much joy throughout the day. May you take comfort in knowing she is now with our Lord in her new body, running the golden streets of Heaven. May God also give you peace in comfort during this difficult time and loss. Love Joani

Dear Joey and family of Chasea~

I am very sorry to hear of Chasea's death. I am sorry that her life was so short, but I hope it was wonderful. I only know of Chasea because of Joey's speech in class about her. I was touched by her story. Sorry for your loss. My mom Darcey also says sorry (she went to school with Joe).

For the past three years, I have had the pleasure of working with and learning from Chasea in the Esko School District. Her courage and effort to keep fighting and enjoying life was an encouragement to all! Her smile lit up a room and her laugh was contagious!

I was very saddened with the news of her passing and wish the family my most deepest sympathy and prayers. Knowing that Chasea is free from pain and that she is looking down on us is a comfort.
