Cheryl Dennis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 17 to Jun. 18, 2014.
Cheryl J. Dennis, 70, passed away at home from cancer on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Yuma, AZ surrounded by her family who love her very much. She was born March 18, 1944 in Yuma, where she lived most of her life.

Cheryl retired from the State of Arizona in 1997. A single mother for many years, she raised her children in a home full of love. She was blessed to find love again when she met and married her soul mate in 1981, with whom she shared many wonderful years. A four foot something, blue haired ball of fire, she was a strong, independent and fiercely determined individual who would do anything for her family.

Cheryl is survived by her brother, Richard Rhodes (Carol); son, Robert Hendricks; daughter, Diana Nelson (Michael); granddaughters, Abigail, Catherine and Emma Nelson; a niece and nephew as well as many cousins whom she loved deeply. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Rhodes; mother, Rosella Rhodes; husband, L.A. (Denny) Dennis; and grandson, Eric Nelson.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Johnson's Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma.
