Cheryl Kay Dumbleton

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Cheryl Dumbleton, who left this life on May 22, 2025, at the age of 81. She passed surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.

Cheryl was born on March 18, 1944, in Washington State to Lloyd and Patrica Hudson. She grew up in Spokane and Port Angeles WA, where she developed a deep sense of compassion, resilience, and faith-qualities she carried with her throughout her life.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Cheryl dedicated her life to her family. She raised her children with unwavering love and care, always putting others before herself. Her wisdom, warmth, and laughter were the heart of our home.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dumbleton married for 43 years, her 6 children, Billy Brock, Deborah Preston, Julian Brock (Kristy), Christina Garrett (James), Gordon Brock and Carrie Brock, 1 foster son, James Anderson, 3 stepchildren Darren Dumbleton, Dennis Dumbleton and Doug Dumbleton, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, her sister Shirley Dees and many family members and close friends who will cherish her memory forever. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, brother, stepdaughter, Angela Dumbleton and her dearest lifelong best friend Beth Schilling.

Cheryl was known for her nurturing spirit, sense of humor, strong faith, stubbornness, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a listening ear, or a comforting hug, she made those around her feel loved and valued.

A celebration of her life will be held on July 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm at The Puyallup Eagles located at 1106 E. Main, Puyallup, WA 98371. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering her beautiful spirit.

Her light will never fade, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
