Cheryl Klein Obituary
Preceding her in death was her father Harry W. Butner. Survivors include her mother Ruth Stone Butner of Pfafftown; brothers Randy Butner (Melissa) of Pfafftown, Marty Butner (Teresa) of East Bend, Danny Joyner (Debbie) of King, and Ronnie Joyner (Lena) of Pfafftown.
A funeral service, celebrating Cheryl's life will be conducted on Saturday (July 17th) at 2:30 PM at the Vogler Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2951 Reynolda Road (336-722-6106). Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 1:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
The family asks that memorials be made to Pfafftown Baptist Church, 4336 Transou Road, Pfafftown, NC 27040 (336-924-0126) or to the Humane Society, 61 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.

So sorry to hear about her passing. I went to UNCC with her. She was a beautiful, fun loving-person whom everybody gravitated to. My condolences to the family.

Mrs. Butner and family, I had the privilege of knowing your beautiful daughter while she lived in Orange County. She had a unique way of lighting up a room with her beauty and lively spirit. In all our interactions, she was always a lady. I know that she shouldered her burdens stoically. I knew Cheryl in California before she got married and had lost touch with her over time. She was one of the most beautiful and kindest people I ever met and she made everyones life better for knowing her. I miss her and wanted to offer my condolences her family.

To the entire family, I would like to offer my deepest and sincere condolences during this difficult time. Although Cheryl was thousands of miles away from her roots and family; her heart and mind never left. She would talk so vividly as if you were there about all her stories growing up. She would open her family album, and in detail tell you about each and every picture. From her Daddy’s planes and flying with him, to her cheerleading days, and to her resemblance of her beautiful mother Ruth. I'm sorry we didn’t have a chance to meet; although we spoke on the phone a few times, I’m privileged to feel like I already know you. I’m honored that your beautiful angel has changed my life forever. It was January 25, 2009 when my heart was forever hers. Her laughter and amazing smile would light up the room and captivate you. She would tell me, “I’m not human Rick, I’m an alien and come from another planet” She was just that, a rare being that you couldn’t help but want to spend every minute with her. From going shopping with her for hours, to playing darts at my house, go cart racing, and to watching her favorite show “The Whale Wars” for hours on end. Each and every moment that we shared is priceless.
Cheryl, I know you are resting in peace and reunited with your Daddy. I would do anything to hold you in my arms and whisper in your ear I Love You. I know you’re near and I can feel your presence and I thank you for your spirit in my heart.
The love we shared will bind our souls forever. Until we meet again…

Cheryl:
Words cannot adequatly express what you meant to me. Outside of my immediate family, you were the person closest to me. You were there for me when I needed you the most, and my deepest regret is that I will never be able to hear your voice or see your smile again. The pain caused by your sudden departure is too difficult to even understand.
I will always cherish the memories we shared throughout our friendship. From the Orange County Fair to our trip to San Diego to just hanging out at your apartment, there was never a moment when you and I didn't have a great time together. These are the memories I will take with me for the remainder of my life. I hope that I was as good a friend to you as you were to me.
To Cheryl's mother and family, I offer my deepest condolences. My prayers are with all of you and I take solace in the fact that Cheryl is in a much better place. She has reunited with her father and will keep a watchful eye over all of her friends and family.
