Dena Rembert Obituary
Mrs. Rembert was born July 18, 1946, the daughter of the late Lorene (Tompkins) and Eulice Gean Fruge. She passed away Monday, August 31, 2015, at her residence.
Dena was retired from the Academic Records Department of the University of Houston. She was a loving wife and mother and loved her family very much. She studied sign language and became very good at it. She enjoyed watching butterflies and travelling.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Rembert of Lufkin; son, Christopher Rembert of Lufkin; and mother-in-law, Natalie Laffere.
In addition to her parents, Dena was preceded in death by her daughter, Alysia Rose Rembert.
Memorial contributions in Dena's memory may be made to The Joseph House (Respite Care), 5783 FM 841, Lufkin, TX 75901.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Our prayers are with you, Wayne and Chris. We were all so sad to hear about Dena, but she will be forever in our hearts.
Words can't change what's happened, but hope they bring you some comfort.
I had just been looking at a sweet picture of Chris and Dena taken at Julia's birthday party years ago when the call came from Ginger.
She was a special lady and we have missed having all of you here since you moved.
