Cheryl Colleen Parsons: March 15, 1955 - June 22, 2023

A woman of infinite warmth and unwavering love, Cheryl Colleen Parsons, began a new journey on June 22, 2023.

Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and generosity. As a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Cheryl's legacy will forever be imprinted in our hearts.

Born in Anchorage on March 15, 1955, Cheryl held her Alaskan heritage close to her heart. A journey back to Sacramento in her early years paved the way for a life well-lived and full of deep connections. Her academic pursuits took her from Elk Grove Sr High School to Heald Business College, eventually culminating in her performing valuable work for numerous esteemed attorneys in Sacramento.

In 1975, Cheryl married Darrell Wayne Sturgill. Though their marital paths later diverged, they remained friends and co-parents to their beloved daughter, Tammy, until Darrell's passing.

Cheryl's unique language of love was expressed through thoughtful and crafty gifts. Her genuine, outgoing personality and empathetic spirit made it easy for her to make friends and connect with people from all walks of life. Her warmth and kindness could be felt in the aroma of her baked goods, which she generously shared with everyone during holidays and even the folks at her assisted living facility.

A lifelong Beatles fan and lover of classic rock, Cheryl was as vibrant and full of life as the music she cherished. The ocean's rhythm and the scenic beauty of the California coast brought her immense joy, reflected in her coastal travels.

Her gentle, nurturing spirit made Cheryl an integral part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives, always there with love, guidance, and support. Despite life's trials, her positivity was a beacon, illuminating the darkest times with a sense of hope.

Left to carry her love are her devoted mother, Doreen Parsons; sister, Linda Iniguez (Ed); brothers, Don Parsons (Sharon) and Rick Parsons (Susan); and her daughter, Tammy Ingraham (Josh). She also leaves a treasure of memories with her grandchildren, Krystal Ingraham (Matthew), Joshua, Rebecca Bridgeman (David), Elizabeth Ingraham, and seven great-grandchildren. Her father, Stan Parsons, lovingly greeted her on the other side.

In every role she played, Cheryl was a source of endless love and care. Her loss leaves an irreplaceable void, but her luminous spirit will forever guide us. As we bid farewell to Cheryl, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and memories that will never fade. Cheryl Colleen Parsons, your light will forever shine in our hearts.
