Cheryl was a friend in my class at Solomon. I remember her positive attitude and friendly smile. I grew to love her family as I spent many a night at her house. She had a television which was a treat for me not having a TV myself. As we watched the Mickey Mouse Club, I was amazed how she knew all the "actresses/characters." Sometimes Cheryl worked at a small phone building near her home. Occasionally, I would go with her and was fascinated how she knew where to plug in the correct cords to connect a call. Cheryl was an excellent seamstress in high school and we shared band experiences. She and I played the graduation march on two separate pianos. I can't remember if it was for an 8th grade class or a senior class for which we played, but after much practice we succeeded playing the same notes at the same time. Now that I live near where Cheryl grew-up, I think of her and our friendship every time I drive by.

Cheryl was a special friend at my time in the Solomon schools. Unfortunately we both went different ways after marriage. There is a special place for her kindness and beautiful smile in my memories.
