The loss of your dad marks the loss of the last parent of the wonderful NE 49th Avenue children's group of the 1950-60's. He is still the childhood hero who took on Mr. Crabapple, nemesis of the neighborhood. What a great childhood, what great memories! May the memories of your dad and mom and my friend Norman be eternal.

I remember your Dad's kindness going back 50 years to my days in grade school. It says a lot about him that his warmth and caring made an impression lasting half a century! You are in my thoughts.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the
Blevin's family. Our family the "Greens" were very close friends with the Blevin's family. There were 4 children in each family. If we were not at the Blevin's house, they were at our house. All eight children running around. Art tolerated us pretty good....we remember him laughing, having a good sense of humor and beating us at ping pong!!

Art enjoyed listening to my dad play the piano and the two of them played their accordians together. A very gentle, kind man and fun to be around. Art and Jo were my parents best friends. They thought the world of them and so did us kids. We had many, many wonderful times together, making for a wonderful childhood. It is sad to lose Art, but now he is being greeted and embraced by all those who loved him and have gone before.
Our sympathy and love,
The Braichs

We are sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Art was a kind and honest man. He was a warm host when Paula & I would visit him and Arlene when they lived in Port Angeles and again later when they were living in Gladstone. He always spoke of his family with such pride and love. He will be missed.
