Great guy

Carmela, it's almost a year since Chester left us. I have thought & prayed for you a lot since then. I hope the past months have brought you healing and hope in the future. Chester was such a wonderful guy - and is still missed by so many. Love & prayers to you & your family Carmela.

Chet, was an amazing person. Greatest basketball player ever i have encountered on. I only knew Chet for a few years, but he was someone i strived to be. I remembered one time he picked me up to play ball and he asked me your really going to wear those shoes, i said, yea why not, he took me to champs and bought me a new pair. He had the best heart. I wish i could be half the person Chet was. May your soul rest in peace. I am sure that God has you in his line up with the other angels watching over us.

Carmela, Lexi, and the rest of the Gil family, I am deeply sorry about your loss. Words cannot explain how i feel for you. My deepest condolences to the Family.

I could not believe this when I heard it. I haven't seen or talked to Chester in about 20 years, but it still makes it tough. He was a good friend in grammar school, endless games of basketball, dunk contests on the low rim he had at his place in River Grove, 1-on-1 over at my house...good times. I couldn't believe when I heard the tragic news and I still can not believe it even though I saw you laying there. I do not have a memory of my late teens, early twenties that doesn't include you. We haven't had time in the past few years to joke, laugh, and play like we did when we were younger, but I'm gonna cherish the memories and remember you not only for what a good kid you were, but a great friend. Chet, It's been awhile, but I remember little moments we had like they were yesterday. My deep sympathies to all family. He was a fun loving, happy guy.

I am shocked and even more saddened to hear about the passing of Chester. I will always remember him as an eleven year-old boy in my sixth grade class.
