Dear Chet, David and Family,
I sent an entry but I'm not sure if the message went thru, so I'll try again.
I'm deeply sadden of the news of Uncle Chet's passing. I would like to express my deepest sympathy. I will always cherish the visits Uncle Chet, Aunt Jane and the boys made with me and my family here in Minnesota. I'm sorry that I can't with you in celebrating the life of Uncle Chet. I sincerely hope that we will always stay in touch with each other. I want you to know how much I loved and admired him. My thoughts and prays are with you this day.
With Love,
Cousin Butch Hart

To the family of Chester Marvin Hart Sr,
I had submitted an entry earlier stating that I believed that my family had lived down the street from your family on Westbrook Drive in Hampton. After making that entry, I came across the slide show of family pictures that your family had posted on the funeral home web site. After seeing your father in his uniform and seeing pictures of Chet and David, I knew then that you were the same family that had lived on Westbrook Drive. I was very impressed by the nice slide show that you placed on the fumeral home web site in honor of your father. It would appear from the pictures that he had lived a good life and appeared to be very close to his family.
Again, I am sorry to hear of your father's death and I wish all of you only the best at this difficult time..

To the family of Chester Marvin Hart, Sr.,
My family used to live on Westbrook Drive in Hampton. I am hoping that your family is the same Hart family that lived down the street from us. I know they had a son named Chet and a younger son whose name I am sure was David, so I feel fairly confident that your family is the same family that lived down the street from us. I am 58 and Chet was about my age and David was about the same age as my niece, Sherry, who spent a lot of time over at our house. We lived on Westbrook Drive between November 1957 and July 1974 when we moved after my father retired. Even though we did not know your family well, we considered your family to be good neighbors and I was sorry to hear of Mr. Hart's death. Both of my parents are dead as well, so I have some idea what you are going through at this time. My thoughts will be with your family during this difficult time. Take care and best wishes.

*******************************
A death has occurred and everything is changed by this event.
We are painfully aware that life can never be the same again,
that yesterday is over, that relationships once rich have ended.
But there is another way to look upon this truth.
If life went on the same without the presence of the one who has died, we could only conclude that the life we here remember made no contribution,
filled no space, meant nothing.
The fact that this individual left behind a place that cannot be filled
is a high tribute to this individual.
Life can be the same after a trinket has been lost, but never after the loss of a treasure.

For Chester, David and families.
I was saddened to hear of your father, grandfather's passing, MY husband Earl Stevens and I knew both Chet and Jane and spent some times at the Outer Banks with them, they were quite a couple. We owned Stevens Bakery for 28 years and Chet was our Bookeeper during most of that time and a very good one at that.
Please accept my condolences at this time.
Sincerely Rita Stevens

Dear Chet, David & family,
I am so sorry to read of your dad's passing. Please know that I will have you in my prayers. Chet, do you remember your 6th grade teacher? Your family then were patients of my husband at his dental office until his death from cancer. I would visit with them there on occasion. They always sent me messages on family. They were very proud of their sons. Remember that always.
