Chi Chi did an exhibition at the Grenelefe Golf Club in the early 1980´s I personally watched him hit a ball left single handed out of a cup right where he intended to put it.

After introducing him at a golf tournament dinner, he jokingly said that we are cousins and that I didn't know that. His love of disadvantaged children had no boundaries. He was a giver, not a taker. A kind soul who shared his wealth and humor generously. May he dance with the Angels.

At the Phoenix Open many years ago, my wife and i attended his clinic on how to hit trouble shots. Long story short. He turned to my wife and i who were standing close to him and he said to us "THIS IS THE MOST FUN YOU CAN HAVE WITH YOUR CLOTH'S ON." Everyone cracked up! God bless him and there will never be another one like him. We need more people like him in this world.

My husband (Frank) and I loved watching Chi Chi play golf. He was one of our favorite golfers even though we never met him in person. I think that both Frank and Chi Chi are playing golf in Heaven. RIP both of you.

First professional golfer that I ever met. Decades later, we would become friends. What a wonderful gift God gave us when he created you Chi Chi. I am sad that He has called you home, but I know how wonderful it must be. Until we meet again my friend.

Ohh Chichi was a friend and a mentor of my family , he used to go Rio Mar and be a regular humble friend but a strict teacher of golf , he would always give me advice but watched me to see if I follow it. Just like a Dad would do. I will never forget you , I bet you're playing golf with my Dad Herman and my brother Mickey in heaven .Rest in Peace.

Chi Chi was not only a fan favorite but a classy guy. I followed him in a tournament at Pleasant Valley in Sutton Mass. He had hit his tee shot outside the ropes. We were able to get close to him and he was talking with us. His cady came back and said "hey Pas don't you think you should be looking at your next Shot"? He turned to his cady and said" these people pay a lot of money to see us I can give them some time to talk with me" He will be missed.

It was about 1969. I had just taken up golf to be able to join my husband (occasionally) on the course when we went to the Dorado Beach Hotel in Puerto Rico. Chi Chi was the pro...I was so impressed! Beautiful person, beautiful place! I am sure he is now in an even more beautiful place.

Chi Chi and Iwalani were a beautiful couple. They both were kind and loving people that loved to help others.

Chi Chi and I played on the PGA Tour together back in the `70s and he was considered on of the most talented shot makers on Tour.

I shall look forward to seeing them again in heaven.

Chi Chi loved the Lord and he loved children. He would always make sure to invite local kids to come out to the courses where he was doing a corporate golf event. He impacted so many in a positive way . God Bless you my friend!

Chi Chi amazed us with his legendary shotmaking, delighted us with his fun and considerate nature, and endeared us with his special personality/presence. A wonderful one-of-a-kind gentleman, who made the game of golf and our world a much better place.

One more, I was standing next to an elderly couple just off the 9th fairway at Harding Park in SFO. Chi Chi hit a tee shot which stopped in the rough next to us. Chi Chi comes up, pulls out a 4 wood and hits a blistering laser to the green. The elderly woman turned to her husband and said, "did you see that, and you told me to never use a wood out of the rough." I found that quite humorous.

Around 2002, Chi Chi gave an exhibition for local youth at El Paso CC which I attended as a club member. I will never forget seeing Chi Chi doing what I have to say was a trick shot. With a driver, he deliberately hit a big sliced shot, then stepped up to a readied second teed ball and hit deliberately a big hooked tee drive and made the two balls hit each other in the air. This is no joke. Freak accident, maybe, but I saw it with my own eyes. Rod Serling couldn't have done this.

I met Chi Chi Rodriguez in Scottsdale, AZ at Tatum Ranch GC in the 1980's. I was fascinated by his swing and his ability "trap the ball" in any direction or distance. Only his great athleticism made his swing a possible success. One of the great "feel" players of all time. I'll see you on the back nine champ.
