I am following the prompt, " what is your first memory of Chino?"
I was screen testing with Chino for a film we were in (he already had the role) and I was really nervous. I saw Chino, our eyes met and I knew INSTANTLY it would be fine. This was a good guy with kind eyes. Connecting with him, put me instantly at ease in a particularly stressful situation for me.

Not too many emcees make a lasting impression on me; but Chino XL did from the first time I heard him. His raw, his grit, his passion, his skills and talents were amongst the Best in Hip Hop Kulture! It has been very touching to see just how Greatly and Positively he impacted lives in our Hip Hop communities. He will be truly missed. My sincere condolences to his family and his friends.
Rest in Rhymes Chino XL.

God bless you Chino, you were a good friend.
Thank you for making me apart of your life.
You were one of the greatest rappers & I learned a lot from you. A lot of people don’t know this, but you were a great Scrabble player. True wordsmith. God bless you & your family.
