To the Antz Family:
I was truly and deeply saddened by the news of Chris's passing.
What I remember most about him was his passion for his work, his love of his family (both at work and home), and his keen sense of humor. Chris was a man of many talents, strong in character, even more generous in his own special way. We have lost a good friend and colleague.
May God comfort you in your time of sorrow.

TO THE ANTZ FAMILY, I AM MOVED TO TEARS TO HEAR OF CHRIS'S PASSING. CHRIS WAS A GREAT GUY, ALWAYS READY AND WILLING TO HELP AND SHARE HIS KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM. MY SON JUST TOOK A "MONSTER BUCK", THAT WOULD HAVE BROUGHT A SMILE TO CHRIS'S FACE, AS THAT BOW WAS ACQUIRED FOR ME AND TUNED BY CHRIS. WE SHARED ONLY ONE HUNT IN THE GOOSE FIELDS, SEVERAL YEARS AGO, BUT I REMEMBER THE DAY WELL AND WILL CHERISH THE MEMORY FOREVER. WHATEVER CHRIS DID, HE DID WELL-HE WAS A PERFECTIONIST. CHRIS WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY MANY. MAY HE "HUNT" IN PEACE FOREVER. GOD BLESS.

Family and friends of Chris,
On behalf of all the members of the Buckfeather Rod and Gun Club, our sincerest sympathy on Chris's passing. He was a devoted father, husband and a true friend. The world is a lesser place place without him. Please understand that there was a reason for chris to be called to Heaven and that one day you will see him again. The members of the club would like to share the following poem with all of the people who loved Chris. May you find comfort.
THE FINAL HUNT
A hunter stands on his tree stand perched high above the forest floor. As the hunter waits the dawn of a new day, he sits back, relaxes and simply enjoys God’s creations. As the shadows of the night disappear and the sunrise seems to be on fire, he realizes that time seems to be lingering on and today was going to be different then any other day. He looks down below the tree and he spots a large white deer. The hunter kneels down on one knee and takes one last look at the sunrise and the way the woods look as the sun is rising… he knows why the buck is here. The buck carries the largest rack he had ever seen and it was meant for big strong hands to hold onto it. The buck looks up at him and speaks in a soft voice, “Come down my friend and ride on my back, I am taking you from the cold of the forest.” Over the mountain they did ride to God’s Promised Land. As they rode the hunters guardian angels flew by his side. When they reached their destination, God reached out His holy Hand to help the hunter off the spirit deer. On a snowy night when the moon is full, you can still see the tracks in the snow and hear a soft whisper…”I am at peace now, so please do not cry that I have gone.”

Chris will be deeply missed he was a great boss and a true friend he has touched my life and many others lives. I hope these next few sentences could show just a part of his life and how it has changed my life forever, Chris was a leader not only by talking about it but by example he would work round the clock and somehow always find time to help all of his friends and people he met along the way. Even if it was just a brief conversation he always left you with a smile he will be deeply missed. See you one day again my friend,
Chris (stubby) Burke
(that knick name was also given to me by him 18 years ago just another way he always made you smile)
