My deepest condolences to Tammy and the Haycraft family. Chris's presence here on this earth will most certainly be missed but may the fond memories of him remain in your hearts forever. It was a blessing to have known Chris for the short time that I did. He always had a smile and an impossibly witty story bringing laughter and fun into everyone's lives. Most of all he had a great heart and such strong faith in God. I am so happy that he shared this faith with his fiance Tammy helping her to know and feel the love of God. Surely, Chris is walking the grounds of a beautiful land in Heaven with the Father where someday we will all see him again.

Chris Haycraft
What can I say? How do I begin?
I met Chris for the first time when he was 13 or 14yrs old. He worked for his dad at Hickory Springs in Owensboro Ky. His dad, Jack, ran the place. Jack and my father, Charles, were business acquaintances and became good friends. Chris and I would always laugh when we talked about it because his job was to tie up the foam for his dad in bundles of 5. And when Hickory delivered it to our mattress factory, my job was to untie the bundles of 5 and stack the foam.
Fast forward years later and Chris was running the sales division of Hickory Springs Owensboro and his friend Darrell ran the plant as Jack had retired. Chris and I became good friends over the years. We spent a lot of time together and had many meals together. Chris was a good Christian man and my brother in Christ. While I was going through my open-heart surgery, he wanted to know daily how I was doing and prayed and had others pray for me the entire time I was in the hospital.
Even after Chris left Hickory Springs and went to work in Indianapolis we kept in touch and texted often. He would call me to chat while he was driving from Indianapolis to his farm and home in Hawesville KY so he wouldn't fall to sleep while driving. Sometimes we would talk about nothing at all, but it was comforting to him, and I was happy to tell him some silly jokes to make him laugh. This world now has an empty space that will never be filled again. But Heaven is a much brighter place now that Chris Is there.
I am truly blessed to have known such a kind & caring person. Chris always had a smile and would always work to help anyone he could
Chris, I will miss your smile, your jokes, and the way you always lifted me up.
I look forward to the day when I see you again in Heaven.
