Tomorrow is your birthday, Sweetheart. I miss you and speak your sweet name so many times each day. Your friends and family have taken good care of me. I'll see you soon.

Chris contacted me online a few years ago, we chatted about Nascar and moving to NC and the good old days in Nashua. I lived a few doors away on Cheyenne Drive in Nashua, he had me over to listen to the new Rush album Permanent Waves and got me hooked; I see from the pictures he was still into all our music. And Star Wars! I remember science project in Mr. Michaud's physics class, Chris won 1st place with his entry complete with movie soundtrack about how many Newtons it would take to launch a rocket from the desolate planet Michaud lol. I'm glad to see he pursued his life's dream and interests so fully. May the Force be with you Chris!

Spreading Chris's ashes at Bristol Speedway, his favorite track.

I'm at work, Sweetheart. I like it here. I actually love it here. I miss Kevin the House, but I have Kevin, Jr., and a bunch of friends. Did you see when we put your ashes at Bristol? They opened up the track and drove me onto the infield and we scattered a few of your ashes at pit box 10. I have a lot of friends here, mostly from work, which is why I love it so much. It's hard. It's the hardest job I ever had, but you would be proud of me because I stayed even when it was hard and when I was scared and when I had to go to the bathroom to cry. There are people here who miss you and they never even met you. You live on through me, and I love it that my friends seem to consider us still a couple. I think we will always be. I have to go now because I have work to do. I'll work hard and make you proud. I miss you more every day. I honestly don't know how I even get through sometimes because I miss you so much. Bye. Tell Meat I said hey. And Charley. I'm convinced it was Charley who was beside you when you started talking to him in hospice. He was there to walk you over. See you sooner than you know.

Life is so hard without you. I feel such nothingness. I love you so much.

Whenever we passed in the aisles, or I stood up from my desk and saw him, I would always salute him, waiting for him to return my salute. He would laugh at me, then return salute. His line, "if you salute me, the snipers know who to pick off first," never got old. He loved his guns, and had the gun range scoped out before he came to visit, telling me which day of the week was Ladies Day so I could shoot for free and had no excuses not to go. He taught me how to field strip my gun. Whenever we met for dinner, he would beat us all there, as he was a pedal-to-the-metal driver. I felt blessed to know him and call him my friend.
