Breaux Bridge- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Chris James Perry, 38, who passed away at Iberia Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 7:00 am to time of service.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Rev. George Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the funeral mass.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
Chris loved being surrounded by his whole family while fishing. Chris also enjoyed watching TV, playing his video games, and being out in his garden. He had a love for people, to which he had never met a stranger. Chris was a loving father, son, and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Mattews; daughters, Christiana Mattews and London Champagne; parents, Sharon Perry and Loggis Sempy; brothers, Harry Perry, Loggis Perry, Alton Perry, Sr., Brandon Perry; and sister, Kima Perry: and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by son, Chris Mattews; Maternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Perry; and uncle, Jerry Perry.
Pallbearers will be Harry Perry, Loggis Perry, Alton Perry, Sr., Alton Perry, Jr., Steven Perry and Timothy Castille.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
