My brother Bill Baulke, Fern Albert and I had one of the greatest adventures of our lives when we helped Chris quarter and carry out of the bush, the moose he shot in 1996 as he held out on contract talks with Colorado. It was an all night adventure that gave us fond memories lasting a life time. Chris we hope your hunts are all successful!!

Chris we hadn't spoken for some time, life gets in the way I guess which shouldn't be an excuse on my end. My friend I miss our times in D.C, My Mom calling you her other son, you literally sitting in Chief Ramsey's office signing everything for everyone in the office just being a nice guy and doing it as a thank you for my Mom helping you get a D.C license(she literally was like Chris doesn't have to do this because I helped him, I love him no thank you needed), she literally looked at the signed Caps jersey from you , Sergi,Adam, and the rest of the team earlier this week and just randomly thought about how you were doing , then this news came. I remember when your buddies came from WaWa and we went out , I just remember feeling a sense of kinship and family from people from this town I never heard of. Just thinking back how the staff at MCI center thought we were related and would let me go meet you downstairs, remembering with a smile how you were playing Dr Dre in the locker room (what a change after all that Shania Twain lol), I can go on and on about all the material things , but just being friends with you , wait not friends but family was the highlight. You didn't have to become friends with a D.C police officer when you were a pro athlete, a star , I am saddened that I didn't know of all this stuff going on and that we lost touch but may your soul rest easy, my prayers go out to your loving family , Val and your kids, Your loving friends and your tribe. I love you my friend, rest easy, Mike Saraco

Chris was a very good and friendly man
I was the visiting team penalty box attendant for Avalanche games for 9 years and talked to him often off ice at McNicols Sports Arena what a great hockey enforcer he was
My condolences to his family

My first memory of Chris was when he was just an infant , the first year his dad played for the Soo Greyhounds John was a billet with our family , I have found memories of hanging out and walking to the Greyhound practices with John his dad, our family had close ties to John and his wife Linda. My sister Lori babysat Chris so his mom Linda could go and watch John play for the Soo.
RIP Chris with love and condolences...from the Ciotti Family.

Giordano & Joanne Bazzoni. Such a wonderful person surrounded by a beautiful family. Through all the years I´ve told my wife her birthday would never be forgotten because it was on the same day as Chris Simon´s. Thank you for all you have done for all of Northern Ontario Chris.
