Im sorry it´s taken so long to write this, but I didn´t want to say goodbye. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for sharing some of your favorites with me (Dunkin coffee and foraging for mushrooms) Thank you for sharing your words with us.
But mostly thank you for being you, for sharing smiles, laughs and love. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, never. Rest easy my friend

I knew Chris through the writing community. We shared similar struggles and he was always there at 2am when I couldn't sleep from pain or the struggles were too much. He was so fond of his kids and we had that in common too. I will always wish we had talked more and that I had gotten to meet the man who was so talented and resilient and kind.

I met Chris on Facebook through his poetry and writing. I truly am so honored to have encountered him in my life. He definitely is gone too soon and will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time.

Chris was a constant pillar of support to me when my son was in the throws of his addiction. He listened to my fears and my cries and encouraged me to not give up hope but to set and keep my boundaries. I will miss those conversations and the jokes he used to tell to lift my spirits.

Always enjoyed our conversations about hockey and life in general. His attitude was the best and an inspiration. My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Chris will be missed.

Chris was so proud of his kids. He talked about them all the time. He will be greatly missed.

Chris frequently sat near a cemetery, and there was a huge maple tree there. He frequently sent me pictures of the tree, especially in the fall. He said it was OUR tree, and in the fall when it started getting seeds on it, he had a necklace made for me from one of the seeds. He also had matching keychains made for us from seeds from that maple tree.

I was privileged to know Chris through his writing. He was a talented poet but more than that he was a wonderful man. I am honored that I got to call him a dear friend. He will always be my favorite poet and I will miss his greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Chris and I were very close, and we would text and talk frequently. We always sent each other little gifts, especially books. His nickname for me was Nerd, and mine for him was Dork. He signed everything he sent me with Love, Dork. I will miss him and love him until my last breath.
