Christine A. Hunter Obituary
Chris led a vibrant life filled with traveling, camping and spending time with those she loved. She was a nurse for 40 years at United Hospital and was awarded Nurse of the Year for her inspiration to others. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the ultimate care giver. We will miss her easy laughter, love of life and know she is now dancing with the angels.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 4 from 5-8 pm with funeral service Saturday, Nov. 5. Visitation 10:00-11:00am with service starting at 11:00 am. All will be held at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church 7160 So. Robert Tr. Inver Grove Hts.

Tim and family - so sorry for your loss. Chris was a great mentor of mine many years ago at United Hospital - I was very fortunate to work with her in my early health care career. She was an amazing nurse/friend. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing.

Chris was my cousin.. it´s been years since I´ve seen Chris but my memories of staying with the Corcorans are very dear to my heart... when we would traveled back to St. Paul from Spokane I was the Lucky one that got to stay with my Auntie Millie and Uncle Don and my cousins.. Cathy and I where very close in age..they were the best of times and I have very fond memories of that that time.. I´m so very sorry for your lost .. Gwen Portz Shuba

My thoughts at this time go to Chris's grandson's Noah and Jared. They love their Grandma so much and I have heard countless stories over the years about special things she has done with them. I know that she makes the biggest and best chocolate chip cookies, delicious French toast bake and chicken wings. I have also heard over the years that you encourage the boys to eat their vegetables and fruits, which they were not very fond of. thank you again Chris, for the love that you shed on these boys and the memories they will share forever. Bob, Tim, Adam, and Michael - How saddened I was to hear about Chris´s illness and recent death. I worked with her at United for so many years and I am not alone in saying she was a compassionate and dedicated nurse. Her positive attitude helped make the most challenging shifts more manageable. My thoughts are with your family as your hearts ache for her loss.

Bob, Tim, Adam & Michael. And, the entire Hunter and Corcoran family. We are very sorry to hear about the loss of Chris. Chris was raised by the most caring parents in the world, Don & Millie Corcoran. Our next-door neighbors for over 27 years until Don passed away Nov 28, 2000; and Millie on May 7th, 2002. We watched Chris, Cathy & Chuck grow up next door and got to know Bob when he first met Chris. We will always remember Chris and the entire family in our prayers as we do her parents.
