Christine Pellegrin Board

Houma - Christine Pellegrin Board, a devoted mother, grandmother, and beloved friend, passed away on the morning of August 30, 2025, at her daughter's home in Howell, Michigan. She was born on December 1, 1950 in Houma, Louisiana to Althea and Dudley Pellegrin.

A passionate educator, with a master's degree in educational technology, Christine dedicated her life to teaching. Her career began as a middle school math and science teacher in Farmington, Michigan, and she even spent a few years teaching in Belize before returning to Houma, where she completed her career in the public school system.

In her free time, Christine loved being with her family and friends, fishing, dancing and doing Zumba. She was also an avid reader, and in her retirement, she challenged herself to read at least one book every day, a feat she often exceeded.

Christine was a kind and caring person who saved her sharp wit for those closest to her. She was a loyal friend and a constant source of support, known for her good humor and quiet strength during difficult times. She extended her generosity to both people and animals, often opening her home and heart to stray pets to provide them with a safe place to live and the care they deserved.

Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Board. She is survived by her daughter, Erika Perry (Craig); her son, Robert Goetz (Nikki); her grandchildren, Riley, Addison, Devin, and Nolan Perry, and Greyson, Matthew, and Claire Goetz; and her siblings, Dudley and David Pellegrin, and Pam LaCasse along with multiple nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Christine's wishes, no services will be held. She asked that those who wish to honor her memory contact their local animal shelter to offer either their time or a monetary donation to help make the lives of animals better.
