Mrs. Christine K. Hugener, age 74, of Coventry, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of June 7, 2025 after a lengthy illness of Lewy Body Dementia. She was born December 29, 1950 in Manchester, CT a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Herlihy.

Christine was a 1969 graduate of East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT. After marriage, Christine and her husband John moved to Michigan and raised their family for many years in Fenton, MI. After residing in Linden and Wetmore, MI., they returned to Connecticut where Christine could be cared for in her home by her husband John and daughter Theresa. She is survived by her husband John, daughters Theresa Hugener and Catherine (Eric) Ladd, son Patrick, grandchildren Alexander and Alistair Campbell, Emma, Jacob, and Allie Ladd, beloved cousin Sr. Diane Morgan, sister-in laws Charlene Hugener and Josephine (Leslie) Olson and brother Timothy(Sandra) Herlihy.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents and brother in-law, William Hugener.

Christine loved her family and cats, baking, sewing and gardening, and going out for scenic rides in Michigan and Connecticut.

A celebration of Christine's life will be held on July 26,2025. The family is deeply grateful for the care that was provided over the years from the Alger County Commission on Aging while residing in Wetmore, MI and the Hospice group from Vernon Visiting Nurse.
