I recently found this website and read Chris's obituary. Chris was a good friend in high school, and I so regret we lost touch some years thereafter, but the comments posted here show she remained the same person I remember -- bright, warm, and genuine. And this is why I will always remember Chris.

King Family, I will always remember Christine from St. Anthony's and our time in HS. She was always brilliant and smiling. I so enjoyed getting to know her again on Facebook as an adult and will be energized always by her Strength. I know the life memories she has given all of us will carry us through this loss. I was sad to learn of the passing of Christine. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God bless you and give you peace during this time of loss. It was 1977, a bunch of close friends found out that one of of the groups parents were going to relocate to South Carolina. With hopes of getting the parents to reconsider we all tried to talk Christine into running for Student Coucil president. I thought I had lost one of my dearest friends back then when her and her family moved. Thanks to the Social Media we reconncected 25+ years later. Was ever so happy to have found my lost friend after all those years. It saddens my heart to have lost you once again. You may be gone but you will NEVER be forgotten.

Mike and Kelly...I am so sad this morning to hear about Chris. She and I continued to be friends even after I left the Florence office. We would E-mail each other occasionally just to keep in touch. Out of the blue one day, she E-mailed me to say "I thought of you today and smiled". She was a dear friend and I did not know she was so very sick. I know you are going to miss her, Mike, and I pray that God's strength is going to help you through this terrible time in your life. Just ask God for that added strength and it will be provided. My prayers to you and Chris' family. She was a sweet person and is going to be missed.
