Her artistic eye and abilities always impressed me, yet her kindness and hospitality was on another level. Will remember her smile most. She will be missed. Much love and respect.

Renee and I worked together years ago at Arter and Hadden, LLC. She and I would always talk about legal issues and current affairs within the firm and she was the personm I would alsway go to if I had an issue. I will certainly miss her and my condolences to her family anhd close friends.

I met Renee many years ago when she came to my home for a party we were having for my husband. Soon after we became friends through my friend Barbara Harwood. Renee came to see me during my sickness over the years always bringing her love to me. I always enjoyed going with Barbara to visit with her at her home in Derby. She will truly be missed by all. She is now resting High on that Mountain.

I first met Renée Lessner when she took one of my glass bead making classes in the early ´90´s in Washington, DC. I knew right away that she was someone I´d enjoy knowing better, and it wasn´t long after that she became one of the gang of `bead ladies´ who joined my class for two weeks of hijinx and bead making in the laurel highlands of Pennsylvania at Touchstone Center for Crafts. We had years of these reunions with friends from all over the country, and Renée and I had many opportunities to enjoy our friendship during the time in between since we lived in the same area. We shared so many laughs and good times, and I knew she´d be the perfect fit as my teaching assistant for two extended sessions at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine (I took that first picture of Renée at the torch while she was there). Not only did she instinctively know exactly what I needed while I was demonstrating, she was great with the students and really lightened my load when keeping 10 to 12 students happy and up to speed. And I loved her company - always upbeat and optimistic and ready to share a laugh. When I reflect on the past 30 years, there are so many moments she and I shared. I am so appreciative of them all and count myself lucky to have had her in my life. I love you, Renée, and miss you dearly. My deepest sympathies to you, Amanda, and all of Renée´s extended family.

As inevitable as it is for us all, one is never prepared for such news. It´s shattering.
Renee was a testament to, and lived the example of, being the change you want to see in the world. Be the light.
We struck up a unique, unexpected and fast friendship.
For everyone who had the honor to have known her, you still carry the light she saw in you. And you carry that memory of her when she touched your heart. Shine that light. May her memory be a blessing.

Renee was simply the best. We were sister friends for 30 years. I loved her unconditionally, and she gave her love right back. For that, I will always be grateful. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and called her a friend. She left this earth after a memorable life well lived. Much love and strength to her loving family and all who were lucky to have known such an amazing woman. See you on the other side, my dear friend.
