Gerald Donaghy Obituary
Lima - Died from cancer on June 12, 2021. He was 85 years old. Jerry, as he was known, was born May 29, 1936 to Gerald and Agnes Donaghy, and grew up on Long Island. He was a United States Marine. He moved with his young family to Rochester, NY in 1967. He worked at Georgia Pacific for twenty years and later at Babcock Lumber Company. After retirement, he drove a school bus for Honeoye Falls-Lima. He enjoyed golfing (where he had a hole in one at Craigie Brae Golf Club), and was active in the Snowbirds Club in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
He is survived by his long-time partner Carol Edwards; children Dara, Delia, and John (Michael); grandchildren, Randi, Emily, and Brandon; Carol's son Gerald Borkuis and wife Peggy Potter; his niece, Brenda Morristell, and his nephew, James Ford. He was predeceased by his sister, Marian Ford.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd, Geneseo NY 14454 (teresahouse.org), which gave him loving hospice care. To share a memory or send a condolence visit oconnelldoughertyfuneralhome.com
