Christine Sogard-Onate Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 2, 2006.
SOGARD-ONATE, Christine Of Santa Rosa, CA, returned to God on March 24, 2006. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sogard. Born January 2, 1952 in San Francisco, CA. Chris was a witty and intelligent individual who gave so much joy to everyone she met. Chris graduated from Montgomery High School in 1970 in Santa Rosa, and went on to work for State Comp. for many years. Chris became the adopted sister of Janice, Theresa, and Clara Sanders, and was our dear friend for 35 years. We spent all holidays and birthdays together, and saw every movie ever made. Chris will be greatly missed by all who loved her, including all her friends from the Church of the Nazarene. We will never forget her fun-loving sense of humor; she was truly genuine. A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2006, at 2 pm, at Santa Rosa Nazarene Church, located at 1135 Farmer's Lane.

I worked with Chris, as well as supervised her for a brief time, at the State Fund. Chris was a very generous, kind-hearted person who will truly be missed, but not forgotten. May God rest her soul.

I worked with Chris in the Santa Rosa State Fund office and remember that she always had a smile on her face. May God Bless her and watch over her family.

Chris and I started work together at the State Fund in June 1975. She was a wonderful person with a kind heart and she will be missed by many. May God bless her and her family during this time of sorrow.
