Christopher Scott Bailey Chris was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the age of 30. He reminded us daily to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life. Chris enjoyed drinking Dr. Pepper, flipping through the pages of a book or magazine, and listening to music on car rides with his bubba. His tenacity was demonstrated by insisting on the use of seat belts, keeping the house tidy, and convincing his family for snacks from Wendy's or Raising Canes with his beautiful eyes and irresistible smile. Chris leaves behind his father, James David Bailey, Jr.; his mother, Debra Sue Duncan; his brother, David Cullen Bailey and fiancé, Katelyn; aunts, Sue Price and husband, Tommy, Sandy Morse and husband, Pete; cousins, Kristie Faust (Jeremiah), Tommy Price (Heather), Katy Miley (Wade), and Erica Morse (Garrett). Preceding him in death are his grandparents, James David Bailey, Sr. and Jeanette Poché Bailey, Sammie Cullen Duncan and Katholeen Linn Duncan; aunt, Martha Linn Duncan; uncle, Sammie Cullen Duncan, Jr. His family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude for his caretakers over the years, especially Tranica Sterling and her staff who treated Chris as one of their own. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Joiner Cemetery in Loranger, LA.
