Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 21 to Jul. 28, 2018.
Christopher Steven (Steve) Blankenship
1979-2018

Christopher Steven Blankenship, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son and brother, and loyal-friend to so many - passed away in his sleep in the Uintas on July 14, 2018 while camping with his wife, two sons and friends. Steve was born on May 12, 1979 in Provo, Utah to Steven C and Joanne Borg Blankenship.

Steve grew up in Provo, Utah, was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Timpanogos High School and after trying a few paths, including two years at UVU, followed in his father Steve's footsteps and began his career as a Realtor®.

Steve was an award winning and top producing Realtor® in Park City for Keller Williams. He loved the outdoors and was an active skier/snowboarder, mountain biker, 4-wheeler, avid camper and yoga enthusiast. He frequently talked about how the outdoors was his solace from the pressures and cares of life.

The one thing Steve loved more than anything in the world was his family and showing his two sons the great-outdoors he loved so much. Steve was a family man, he dearly loved his wife and was an attentive and affectionate father to his two young sons, spending as much time with his family as he could. He had many great friendships from his youth as well as many new friends made throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Annett Hoch Blankenship, of Park City, Utah; his sons: Oliver Ryder and Nicklas Ryan Blankenship; mother and stepfather: Joanne Borg Blankenship Grimmett and Kevin Grimmett of Orem; siblings: Melissa Ann Blankenship Osterhout and her husband Jeff Osterhout; stepsisters Katie Grimmett and Karee McBride; step-brother Karl Grimmett; father and mother-in law, Ottfried and Monika Hoch; brother-in law Steffen Hoch as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

His father, Steven C. Blankenship, preceded him in death.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who have given their comfort and support and reached out with kind words, warm gestures, and constant prayers. You have our eternal gratitude.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his memory on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Park City, Utah for family and friends.at City Park, 1354 Park Avenue. Join them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate Steve's Life.

Steve was my realtor and recently sold two condo's for me in Park City. My prayers go out to his wife and family. May the Lord be wit you.

I saw Steve on the 4th of July and we talked for a bit and he asked if he could take me out to lunch soon to talk about real estate investing ideas that I had shared with him in the past. I worked with Steve over the years starting with him being a new agent at Coldwell Banker and then we worked together again at KW. Steve was a good guy and a good family man. His loss is a shock, way to young to go! RIP
