Sad to hear about Chris death. I was only thinking of him this morning. Last year,2016,Mum and Dad drove me to Camden for a flying lesson. My Mum, Beverley, passed away on 9 November 2016
I wished I'd kept the Datsun 180B that Chris fixed.He got an engine from Japan it was slightly oversized and he did modifications + new gear box and clutch I loved that car.

Chris was our wonderful friend who everbody loved. He found time to talk, listen and help many people in need no matter how busy he was. Chris and Donna were a great influence on our lives, this developed into a lasting friendship with many holidays and travel memories that we will treasure forever. Chris was a great story teller and we will always remember his laughter that followed. His love for Donna, Ryan and Jordan was especially wonderful to see.

Hi Donna. I know I sent you an sms a while ago, but I guess I just wanted to say Hi, and see how you and the kids are going. Chris was a great guy, I wish I had met him earlier in my life. I really appreciated sitting up in his office with him, as he so kindly and with great enthusiasm showed me through many of his photo albums, as we found we had a common interest in old Morris Minors... My dad passed away at about the same age only a few years back. It's hard, you never forget, and you shouldn't. But... things get easier... if you let them get easier. Chris would want to see you and the kids happy... and I'm sure through the power of your incredible family and friends that you have all the support in the universe to do that. Please take care... and cheers to an incredible man that was Chris Bowles.

Sincere thanks to all who have left messages here....I have only just become aware of this site (thank you to Kathy xx),...it will be 6 months in couple of days since I last saw my precious man. No words can express the searing pain I feel and the constant heartache, almost unbearable except for our two boys,their love carries me each day. I am very grateful for the prayers and thoughts of family and friends. Chris and I were excitedly planning to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Paris on May the 14th. I have been blessed to be able to love a man that loved so many people, was loved by so many and loved me completely. ....blessings,Donna

Donna, Lorys and I have just read about Chris' passing and we feel so much for you. We are so glad we spent that dinner with you both. Chris is now with his Lord and for that we are so thankful. You are in our prayers.

I had just found out today about the tragic loss. I knew chris from my pro-ma business and still was in touch with him through our pilot supplies and am shocked by the news and feel for his family. one of the nicest people i have ever met.

My world was shattered when I received the call to say that my brother Chris had been tragically taken away from us in a plane crash . No words can express how we miss him and always will . I would say of my brother Chris what Edward Kennedy said of his brother Robert Kennedy - "My brother need not be idealised or enlarged in death beyond what he was in life - to be remembered simply as a good and decent man who saw wrong and tried to rectify it,saw suffering and tried to halt it "That was my brother Chris. RIP Chris in the arms of the Lord you loved and served .

Thinking of you Chris...Looking up at the Planes at the Airports i visit...YPMQ..YCFS...YTRE...YWLM...YSSY.."Coolie"..And many more on my trips to retrieve the Hire Cars..Many a time i called you from Coffs Harbour Airport to ask when you would be coming down my way..RIP...Chris..

Remember setting up the Discos in Sydney with Chris...At that time i was Dating his Sister...Her name was Barbara..Whom i later Married...Barbara passed away in 2006...The week before Chris was Tragically taken in the Light Plane accident near Lismore we were all up at his house for a Family BBQ... Chris has been laid to rest very close to his Sister Barbara at a very Beautiful Resting Place at Duranbah in the Tweed Valley...RIP..Chris...Miss you Heaps Mate...Your Brother in Law...Paul L Romaine..
