I met Christopher these summer on Tegel Airport for the first time.
Some days later, we had a beer together during a visit in an italian restaurant.
I thought by myself, what a nice kinda guy, we should do this more often.
Unbelievable that we will never have the chance for that.

People walk in and Out of our lives and accompany us for a while.
Some stay with us forever because they touch our hearts.
We will always keep you in loving memory.

Chris and I grew up together as good friends. Our families are close and we'd get together often for dinners, celebrations, activities, vacations, holidays and more. We used to play together, all us kids, while our parents would gather.

I remember Chris and I road biking and going on Saagbraw with our dads. We did Snowstar, skiing regularly on weekends. Our families used to do Thanksgivings together regularly. We grew up BMXing, skateboarding, ice skating, playing football, canoeing on the river out back I still remember the Puchmann bike that he got for his birthday! Those were the good ole days! Great times I'll never forget.

I haven't seen Chris since high school or maybe college, but I was really looking forward to getting together one of these years over the summer or holidays. I wish we could have created so many more memories together, growing old and telling stories about our own kids.

Chris, its been great hearing what an amazing guy you turned into. But I am gonna miss you, old pal! Wish we could've reconnected more recently. Here's to you and all the people you've touched! What a blessing to have known you!

Sending love and prayers to the Buchmanns, all friends and family!

Chris, it was never a dull moment with you that is for sure. I am so thankful for all the jokes and kidding around you did. My girls adored you and your family! So proud of you changing careers and doing it with such passion. Something most adults are scared to do. Your passion was kids and you were so good with them. Our promise to you is to do whatever it takes from an ear to a visit to help Michelle and your girls through this. We love you and you will be missed greatly! Fly high cuz.

I have fond memories of working with Chris on 8AS at the VA. He brought fun and joy to our staff. He had a heart of gold and a passion for his family unlike no other. I will pray for his surviving family and friends--may your memories of him bring peace and comfort to you at this sad time.

Our family is heartbroken to hear of Chris's passing. My daughter, Katelyn, loved him so much. He made the most difficult hospital stays more tolerable and even fun. They played tricks on each other and he even brought her teal nail polish and helped give her a manicure. From water gun fights to booby traps with tape..he always kept it fun. Please know that our transplant family will miss him dearly and he will be forever in our hearts. Sending love, prayers and strength for the days ahead

Thank you the Buchmann family for sharing a wonderful, Gentle, compassionate, funny, and caring person with us. God Bless You ALL.

Praying for your family. I am thankful to have known Chris. I went to nursing school with him. He was part of what I call my nursing "family". He made nursing school much more enjoyable with his sense of humor. He will truly be missed by many. God bless you.

I grew up visiting the Buchmanns often with my family. Especially through Eric, and my own little brother Peter's relationships with Chris, he felt like a little brother to me. I also stand from afar in to honor him, with the Buchmanns, who feel like a second family to me. In his passing, I celebrate his life, and the path he found to help others in need.

Michelle and your entire family and friends ~
Your pain is inconceivable.
My hope is that, though warm and loving memories, your smile will come back when time and tears permit. I trust Chris would wish that too.
Hugs,
~ Colleen

Our entire family grieves with the whole Buchmann family, our dear friends for so many years! Christopher was fun to be around, from little on, and our kids, especially our boys grew up with him as a friend. We know he has touched so many lives and that he will be sorely missed, and is already!

It was a pleasure to have classes with Chris in nursing school at Bryant and Stratton. He certainly was a great person, nurse to be around and made those around him want to be that much better. Prayers to all of his family and friends.

ChrisIt is so hard to find the right words.
You were the young man and mature adult any mother would dream of having as a son-in-law for her daughter. I think you were part clone of David. Both so devoted to your familes. And I'm so glad you brought my nickname back. I enjoyed the fun of it.
I'll be looking for you when I get up there.
